CAMP FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Kent State requires Full Payment for all campers to be paid online no later then 48 hours before the start of the chosen camp.
  • All online transactions are secure using My Online Camp.
  • NO CREDIT CARDS or CHECKS will be accepted.
  • For team camps at check in the day of camp - Coach’s must provide a roster with all participants names and attached KSU Medical forms for each participant. No camper will participate without this form being completed.

  • You can use MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Bank Debit Cards.
  • You don't have to worry about it getting lost in the mail.
  • We will get your application the next day.
  • You will receive a receipt immediately via email.

  • Team Checks from booster clubs or school need to be turned in two weeks prior to start of the camp.

  • All camp sessions will be held in the Kent State Field House.
  • Intensive Campers will wrestle one session a day in the Kent State Wrestling in the MAC Annex.

All resident campers will sleep and train in the Kent State Field House. (Two separate areas.)

Recommended:
  • Air mattress, sleep bag, pillow, and clean linens
  • Towels, Disinfectant Soap, Shampoo
  • Wrestling Shoes, Running, Enough workout cloths for up to 12 workouts, Swim Suit, Singlet, Head Gear Mouth Guard
  • Spending money
  • Tent, Fan, Extension Cord, playing cards, DVD’s
  • You’re welcome to bring a cellphone; however, we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged property. If you need to make an emergency phone call, contact your counselor or coach and they will assist you.
     

All coaches who spend the night will be required to finish and complete a FBI Background check one week prior to the start of the camp.  Please email a copy to jfetzer3@kent.edu or fax 330-672-5245 (Attn: Kent State Wrestling Camps Background Check with Name)

All counselors and staff at the Kent State Wrestling Camps have completed a FBI Background Check.

When you go through the check-in process we ask you and your child to report directly to the head table in the field house and speak with a Kent State Coach (Jim Andrassy or Matt Hill) about the particulars of the medication.

  • Respect Others and their property
  • You are only permitted in the following buildings: Kent State Field House, Stadium Shower and Varsity K Room for meals.
  • The use of alcohol or tobacco is prohibited.
  • Do not hang anything from the fire safety equipment, such as sprinkler heads or smoke detectors.
  • Do not touch the fire safety equipment (fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, or fire alarms) except in an emergency.
  • Stay off all track and field equipment
  • Not allowed in Weight room without a Kent State Wrestling Coach (No Counselors)
  • Do not walk outside with your wrestling shoes.
  • You must attend every session – hurt or not.
  • You must report all cuts, scrapes, mat burn, sores, etc. to the coaches & athletic trainers.
  • You must wear clean workout clothes to every practice.
  • Do not use or borrow anyone’s belongings. Stealing is not permitted.
  • Video surveillance in operation on campus.
  • Pizza or sandwich deliveries are not permitted after 10:30 pm.
